Rochester, New York is following in the hoofprints of international cities like New York, Chicago, Toronto, New Orleans, and Zurich, with our own animal masquerade: High Falls Horses On Parade.
A collaborative effort of High Falls Brewing Company and Dixon Schwabl Advertising, High Falls Horses on Parade also involves many enthusiastic corporate citizens, talented artists, and dedicated community organizations.
With more than 150 decorated fiberglass horses placed throughout the area, the program promises to be Rochester's highest-profile charitable event ever. The horses, like the parading cows, moose and fish before them, will attract visitors and tourism dollars. And it's only the beginning of High Falls Brewing Company's renewed community dedication.
With the proceeds from the horse sponsorships, High Falls will donate a total of more than $130,000 to six local charities. After the parade, every not-for-profit organization in the Rochester area can benefit from funds raised at our post-parade auction. For more information on the charitable component of Horses on Parade, check out our Charities Page.
The year 2001 will be a busy one: artists design and decorate their horses from January through March; photography, brochures and maps are coordinated in April; the horses graze around Rochester from May to September; and we'll close with a wrap-up party and auction in September.
Thanks to the Rochester community for helping to make Horses on Parade a success! We look forward to an exciting year of animal magic.
