We hope you'll join us in supporting our six founding charities:

American Lung Association
The American Lung Association® (ALA) is the oldest voluntary health organization in the United States, with a National Office and constituent and affiliate associations around the country. Founded in 1904 to fight tuberculosis, ALA today fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health. ALA is funded by contributions from the public, along with gifts and grants from corporations, foundations and government agencies. ALA achieves its many successes through the work of thousands of committed volunteers and staff. For more information about the American Lung Association, call (585) 442-4260 or visit www.ggw.org/ala-fl.

The Arc of Monroe County
For more than 40 years, The Arc of Monroe County has been opening doors to the future for people, individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by offering a variety of services designed to increase independence and self-sufficiency. Our programs enhance the quality of life and self-esteem of program participants by providing them with meaningful social development, employment, community living, and enrichment opportunities. For more information about The Arc of Monroe County and its programs, call 585-271-0660.

Epilepsy Foundation of Rochester
Founded by families of children with epilepsy in the late 1970's, the Epilepsy Foundation aids individuals and families affected by epilepsy and related neurological impairments to understand, manage, and cope with their disorders by providing education, advocacy and services. For more information about the Epilepsy Foundation and its programs and services, call (585) 442-4430 or visit www.epilepsy-uny.org.

Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong
Golisano Children's Hospital, located within Strong Memorial Hospital, has 123 beds. With the exception of pediatric heart transplantation, for which the hospital is licensed, it offers practically every medical service and treatment a child may need. These include treatments and therapies for chronic conditions such as diabetes and asthma, as well as leading edge surgeries - such as kidney, liver, and small-bowel transplantation - that are usually reserved for larger cities.

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was established in 1984 as a public-private partnership to help find missing children. It has assisted local law-enforcement agencies in more than 52,000 missing children cases, helping to reunite more than 67,000 children with their families. Today, the organization reports a 93 percent recovery rate. For more information about the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, call (585) 242-0900 or visit www.missingkids.com.

ESL Charitable Foundation
The ESL Charitable Foundation is dedicated to improving the Greater Rochester community by providing funds to local charitable organizations and projects. The foundation was created in June 2002, in conjunction with ESL Federal Credit Union's sponsorship of the 2003 community arts program "Animal Scramble." The Rochester based foundation accepts grant applications from area non-profit organizations. Please contact Leslie Wood at 585-336-1008 or lesliewood@esl.org if you are interested in submitting an application.
